Managers Update – World Book Day

I would like you to join me in welcoming some new faces this term, we have two new boy’s that have joined us in pre-school and also a new staff member, Sam Beacock, so a warm welcome to them all.

Today was World Book Day and the children have really enjoyed a morning visiting Whitley school, there were some lovely Fancy Dress outfits and we were very proud of the children parading round to show them off to the other children in the school, they were rewarded with a treat of chocolate by Mrs Smith Reception teacher.

Congratulations to Ruby Symonds who won a book voucher for best Fancy Dress.

The children were impeccably behaved, a credit to us all, they enjoyed their time playing in the classroom and the walk to and from school.

Thank you so much to all the Parents and Grandparents that volunteered to help, without you these little trips wouldn’t be possible and the children do enjoy them.

May I ask that any Parent Questionnaires that have not yet been handed in are completed and brought in as soon as possible, we can then read through your responses and ideas and respond to your comments, thanks for those already returned. Don’t forget if you wish them to be anonymous you can post them in the black post box outside pre-school.

Our next celebrations are at Easter, we have invited the school down on Tuesday 1st April, we plan on having an Easter Egg Hunt, Egg painting and an Easter bonnet parade so get planning your Easter bonnet now so that you have plenty of time to make it with your child/ren at home.

Other dates for your diary are our next committee meeting on Thursday 13th March 8pm, ask for details if you can come along, the more Parents, Carer’s and Grandparent’s that can help just a little, the better place we can make it for your children, we would love to see you there and your support is very much needed and appreciated.

Finally, Saturday 22nd March is our fundraiser Quiz Night at the Village Hall.

In the meantime, if you have queries please don’t hesitate to ask.
