Managers Update – October

One of our plans to improve the pre-school and make better provision for the children is to increase the outside play area and include a mud kitchen and an extra storage shed for bikes so that our existing shed can store better and additional resources to cover the 7 areas of learning for the children.

We have already received a £600 donation from the Whitley Open Gardens day towards a new shed however, we need to cover the cost of moving the fence and adding gates etc, It is necessary to fundraise and work towards covering the costs involved, on this occasion we would like to involve the children and talk to them about raising money and give them a sense of pride in their achievements.

We will be doing a sponsored Halloween Toddle on Wednesday 21st October.

We plan to start soon after registration and this will take place on the outside field, please could you bring your child in a Halloween themed outfit or face painted, if they are not happy to dress up that isn’t an issue, the aim is for them to have fun and enjoy the Toddle. They could carry something Halloweenish!?

Please provide wellies as the grass will be wet, and a raincoat incase of bad weather, it may be an idea for a change of clothes on that day in case of getting wet.

The children can collect Halloween tokens on each lap and will be rewarded with a little treat bag to take home.

Parent’s are very welcome to watch or join in, sponsor forms will be in your child’s busy box later in the week for you to take home and get as many sponsors as you can, every little helps and your support is very much appreciated.
